September Happenings!

We have been busy this month in 3rd grade!
We have learned about friendship in Religion and Reading and Social Studies.
We have learned about the desert in Science.
They have enjoyed 3 art lessons:  making a maple leaf person, making texture rubbings for a desert scene, and a special art lesson with Mrs. Spiegel making scarecrows!
In technology we are learning how to navigate a website and use the search engine to find an image.

We have Spanish and PE on Mondays and Wednesdays, Music on Thursdays, and Theater Arts once a month on Tuesday afternoons.  Technology and library are first thing Monday morning.

Friday, September 19, is Pirate Day!  Please send your child in uniform but accessorized like a pirate!  Hats..tattoo sleeves, bandanas, parrots...no weapons please!  Thanks to the Ansari family for providing a special pirate treat for us!

Iowa testing begins on Monday, Sept. 22.  Please be sure your child comes to school having eaten a full, nourishing breakfast and supplied with a healthy snack.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
